The Mandate
As a personal project, design a clean and sophisticated art book with a dynamic layout and a graphic style based on Daniel Arsham and his work.
The Approach
The approach was to create a three-dimensional book cover with laser cut negative letters of his name. The inspiration comes from his work where he builds upon layers and depth, while only using his main colour, white.
The spreads are designed with an elegant touch using white space to showcase his work. Similar to the artist’s website, it also has a technical feel by using a geometric sans-serif typeface, Replica from the Lineto Foundry.
