The objective of this project was to create a branding for Auberge du Vieux-Port which properly reflects the unique nature of the hotel’s unique location and offerings.

About the Hotel

Auberge du Vieux-Port is the modern-day embodiment of 19th-century Montreal, with a delicate architectural balance between preservation and innovation.

Approach

Traveling abroad is considered to be a luxury and usually more catered toward financially able ones. Taking into consideration the target audience, the new branding is trustworthy, well-appointed and high-end, without losing its historic warm touch by using a nice copper colour. Additionally, an hotel is a place to rest with peace of mind, therefore a dark blue colour was also used to embrace calmness and tranquility, while hinting on the hotel’s location, at the Old-Port of Montreal.

Booklet

A branding guideline booklet is also designed to demonstrate rules regarding the logo, colours, typefaces, and different other items to further develop the brand image.

Solution

The result of this project is an effortlessly luxurious, yet cozy branding which also embraces the the unique location of the Auberge du Vieux-Port.
